The 100-year history of Olivari, one of the most significant signs of ``Made in Italy``, written by Stefano Casciani and retraced by relating the 'evolution of architecture with the design of the handle, the subject easier and more at your fingertips found in our homes``.
The iPad version of the architecture and design book originally published by Skira offers:
• 223 pages of text
• 52 archival or specially created for this App photographs
• 7 specially made videos
In the text are presented and commented on the work of 48 designers, from the great masters of the “archistars”, from the pioneers of industrial design to the finest interpreters of contemporary design. Among the authors: Gio Ponti, Franco Albini, Marcello Piacentini, Joe Colombo, Vico Magistretti, Enzo Mari, Alessandro Mendini, Patricia Urquiola, Steven Holl, Dominique Perrault and Daniel Libeskind.
The text is divided into five chapters, corresponding to the stages of evolution of the Italian industry, and is accompanied by archival footage and photographs specially taken by Santi Caleca.
