Orvieto

 1997
M170

Orvieto is a round rosette handle designed by Nicola Novelletto in collaboration with Roberto Volonterio. Together with Siena, it stems from a study of the classical forms, reinterpreted through careful work on proportion and balance. The project preserves the marks of tradition and the memory of the past, translating them into a door handle with a measured language, capable of dialoguing with contemporary interiors.

TYPOLOGY

Door handles - Round

Orvieto,
 1997

The Orvieto and Siena handles were conceived with Roberto Volonterio. Both handles originate from a study of “classical” forms. The proportions and balances make these door and window handles extremely contemporary while preserving the marks of tradition and the memory of the past.

— Nicola Novelletto

As an independent designer, Novelletto has designed a wide variety of objects: household accessories, faucets, handles, sports equipment and even motorboats.

Roberto Volonterio is a designer and founder of MAS Engineering. He collaborated with Nicola Novelletto in the creation of some handles for Olivari.
