G.P.A. This professional studio was founded in 1948 by Gianemilio Monti (Milan 1920), Pietro Monti (Corenno Plinio, Como, 1922 - Milan 1990) and Anna Bertarini Monti (Milan 1923), immediately after the three members of the group had graduated from the Milan Polytechnics. Members of the Movimento Studi Architettura (Movement for Architectural Studies) from 1954 until 1960 and amongst the founders of the ADI (Association for Industrial Design) in 1956; Gianemilio and Pietro Monti have been members of the Building Committee of the Commune of Milan; Pietro has been the president of the association of architects of Lombardy from 1970 to 1972. They operate in the fields of building, town planning, industrial design and design of exhibition areas. |
